アメリカでは、どこにいってもIDの提示を求められます。レストランでお酒を頼むとき、薬局でお酒やたばこを買うとき、ビルに入るとき、プールバーに入るとき、洋服を買うとき、などなど。運転免許を持ってないときは、常にパスポートを持っていないといけなくてとても不便でしたけど、運転免許を取ってからはとても便利になりました。これだけでも運転免許を取ってよかった～。車はやっぱり全然運転していませんけど・・・。
