Saint Valentine's Day

もうじきバレンタインデーです。日本では、女の子が男の子にチョコレートを渡しますが、アメリカでは、その逆です。つまり、男の子が女の子にチョコを渡すのです。スーパーマーケットやCVS（マツキヨみたいな薬局）では、そこら中にチョコレートが売ってます。そういうことをは、日本と一緒です。日本では、バレンタインデーに女の子がチョコを渡して、ホワイトデーには、男の子がそのお返しをするんだよ、とアメリカ人に言うと、みんな驚きます。バレンタインデーはアメリカで過ごした方がよさそうです^^。

St Valentine’s Day is almost here. In Japan, women give chocolates to men, but in the US, it is opposite. I mean men give chocolate to women in the US. There are many chocolates all over the place in supermarkets and CVS (kind of Matumotokiyoshi). Those are the same as Japan. When I tell American people that we give chocolate to men on St Valentine’s Day, and then men give us candies or cookies on White Day, they are always surprised. I think Japanese women had better to stay in the US on Valentine’s Day.
